Hello Rubies

I am so proud of this months releases! The Shifter City trilogy is complete and out in the world, book one (Wolf Tamer) of a brand new trilogy has just released, and my Kindle Vella project has begun!

Let's just say lots and lots of Redbull was involved.

*For those of you that may not have seen the information posted in my Facebook author group, I will share some information on how Kindle Vella works below. Plus the blurb, and a few teasers for the book itself in the "Teasers" section.

Kindle Vella is a brand new way of releasing stories! New chapters of Thrown To The Wolves will be released per episode every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It is a standalone PNR and already has 15+ episodes available for you all to enjoy. This is currently only available in the US, but if it gets popular enough it will hopefully release internationally. In the meantime though, I will work on trying to release this book for those who live outside of the US once it is complete. This is brand new to me too, so here is some information directly from Amazon:

  • To access episodes, readers need to purchase Tokens.

  • To make it easy for readers to find stories they love, the first few episodes of every story are always free!

  • Readers can share what they think by giving episodes they like a Thumbs Up and by using Faves to vote for a story they enjoy most each week.

Tokens come in packs worth $2, $5, $10, or $15. The $2 pack for example, will buy you 200 Tokens. Each of my episodes are around 25 Tokens each. Pricing of Tokens per episode is decided by the word count, which will be around 1500-2000 words for each of my chapters/episodes.

Because one look is all it takes to trigger a werewolf's mate hunt.

And when a werewolf is hunting, he doesn't stop until his mate either dies or becomes a wolf too.

Now I'm trapped in some guy's house, he's stuck in his wolf form, and there's no way out for either of us.

Life as I knew it is over, but my fight to survive is only beginning.

Thrown To The Wolves

Quote 1 “Just kidding.” Veggie Guy wore a big grin. He was yet another tall, gorgeous dude who undoubtedly spent way too many hours at the gym to have many brain cells at all.

When our eyes collided, his changed—going from a dark green color to red.

I dropped the cheesy bread, scrambling backward.

Quote 2

“Let go of me or I’m calling the cops,” I threatened.

Red-eyed Veggie Guy growled, low and deep. Like an animal. It sounded like he was trying to say, “Date.”

Wait, no. He was trying to say “Mate”.

Mate? Wasn’t that a British or Australian word for friend?

I really wasn’t as up to date on slang from across the world as I should’ve been.

Suddenly, he released my arm, jerking backward and bending in half with a sharp snapping sound and a pained yell-howl. I tried to jump away from him, but my back slammed into the chest of another man.

“Grab Jesse and the girl. We need to move,” the other guy barked.

Wolf Charmer (Book 2)

My back met the door, gently enough that the motion didn’t bring back any bad memories, and Knox’s hands engulfed my face. He blocked everything from my sight, except his face.

“Look at me,” he growled. “Look at my fucking eyes.”

I did.

The man’s eyes were storms—gray, and powerful, and angry. “You’re a hell of a lot more than enough, Cara. Things are shitty right now, but I’m not going to let you die. I’ll take care of you until you can take care of yourself, but you have to let me.”

I stared at him.

My eyes were watering, I thought.

And my body was weak, and shaky, and probably dehydrated.

I couldn’t keep myself alive, but… maybe Knox could.

“Alright,” I whispered.

He looked shocked, at first. And then his eyes burned with emotions I didn’t understand.

He pulled me away from the door and crushed me into his arms.

Oh and guess what...

I have started to make some character art!

Once I have tested the quality and materials for printing, the art I create will be available to purchase on my Etsy.

I am so, so grateful to everyone currently on my arc team and to all of you reading and reviewing my books. You are all so wonderful. Your support lets me keep doing what I love.

Here is where I will share some random, bookish or non-bookish related things, just for fun.

  • This month I have been listening to and loving the song Everything We Need by A Day To Remember. If you'd like to listen to it, click below.

Everything We Need - Listen Here

  • My toddler has finally *finally* learned how to play by himself during my one-year-old's nap, which means I have extra time to get stuff done!

  • I haven't been reading much lately, and that is totally okay. Taking a little bit of a break to focus on writing the two books I've got going on at one time. BUT my husband and I have started watching Happy Endings and we're loving it!

  • One thing I am SUPER excited for is my next planned trilogy after the Rejected Mate Refuge books (it's going to feature Shadow from Wolf Tamer!!)

Fun fact of the month: Snails need moisture to survive, so if the weather isn't favorable, they can sleep for up to three years! During that time, they secrete mucus to protect themselves from the dry, hot weather *shudders*.

Thank you for reading, hope I'll see you next month! - Lola Glass
